Carrying out a plan
Spreads for work and career
What the spread explores
This spread examines a project's outcome, obstacles and assistance, the viability of your ideas and the motives driving you.
How to lay out the spread
Prepare the cards and ask for their help. Shuffle while concentrating on your plan. Place one card before you, two horizontally above it and two below, each pair left to right. Keep the cards face up and interpret them.
Reading the positions
• Card 1 — your ideas as a whole: their relevance, soundness and potential usefulness or interest to others.
• Card 2 — what prompted your plan: conscious wishes, unconscious motives or the influence of people around you.
• Card 3 — outside support or obstacles involving you, others or unforeseen circumstances.
• Card 4 — actions that lead to a dead end and undermine your plans.
• Card 5 — the approach that can make things work.
